This quick trip was meant as a test run to see if we could go to Disney World; and not actually go to any parks!! And for the most post; it was very successful! Albeit quite hot; we had a great time; just hanging out at the pool and having fun at the local hotels. This was also the first time ever we have been to Disney World over the July 4th holiday !!

Disney for Xmas! Was very busy, but well worth it. This was Jennys Xmas present. Seeing the Castle light up in ‘ice’ was amazing. An experience we will never forget. Lauren was particular fond of the ice castle – she called it ‘Mickeys Castle’

This trip marked the first attempt at traveling to Disney World from our new home in Columbia, SC. It took 7 hours instead of the usual 13 from Fredericksburg. Nicholas also got to enjoy his 5th birthday on hallowed Disney ground!

In this trip; we booked a cheap home and had a weeks trip with Jennys mother and our nephew Ryan. We went to O’hana restaurant for the first time; celebrating our 12th Wedding Anniversary.

We met up with Mum and Liz in the Orlando area and rented a home. It served as our lunch pad to two weeks of fun in the sun. We went to the beach (clearwater) – checked out lots of parks and even saw the great Ralph playing even though it made Lauren cry!

Another year, another trip to Lotusphere, but unfortunately our last trip to sphere, for probably some time. It was a memorable one though, we stayed at the Beach Club, and met with the Hardins. Nicholas got to raise the pirate flag on this trip in the huge pirate ship located in the lagoon

This was truly a fantastic trip. We decided to go for a quick, cheap run to Florida – and where do you go for a cheap trip? Craigslist of course! We got a condo for … $375 for the entire week! (Thats $53 a night!) – we only got one room, with a connecting bathroom, but it was very plush and we had a great time.

Our annual visit to Disney World takes a new twist with the twins first visit to the parks. This is Nicks 3rd visit, and probably will be the most fascinating of the bunch! He is now much more aware and will surely enjoy the trip. We are renting a house this time, to accommodate the mass Russell family clan, and we are all looking forward to it.

This was our third trip to Lotusphere, an annual IBM/Lotus conference. This conference was slightly different for me as I actually got to be a speaker. It was quite an experience, I was very nervous but did quite well. This was my favorite of all spheres I had been to, and unfortunately couldn’t go to the 06 conference (due to some twin arrivals!) – but 07 is just a year away.

We go to Florida quite often, and we always try to mix it up. Well this time we had a hurricane to deal with! Just for one day though, and it was amazing how well the Disney/Florida people dealt with the destruction. We tried driving over night on this one, thinking Nick would sleep. Wrong. In fact it was WORSE than driving during the day. We also stayed in the Disney All Stars resorts, which was really surprising, it was only $45 a night (special at the time) – and excellent, excellent quality. Yet another great Disney vacation.

This was a great trip to Lotusphere 2004 (2nd visit) and we stayed at the Wilderness lodge, Disney World. This is one of our favorite hotels at Disney World. Sphere 04 wasn’t the best I had been too, but as always it was an experience. This was also Nicks first visit to Disney!….

This was our first visit to Lotusphere and we stayed in the Port something hotel (forgotten) – disney hotel, but wasn’t impressive. I also got extremley sick, with a stomach virus and had to miss one day of the conference. The party this year though was interesting, Magic Kingdom just for sphere attendees, and it was wierd cruising through Magic Kingdom with hardly anyone in the park

This was our first visit to Disneys Wilderness Lodge, and were totally blown away. We were also upgraded for free to a better room. It is a beautiful, beautiful, hotel – and we had a great time. But yet again, we got sick! Half way through the holiday we got some colds. But we were so happy being in such a great hotel, we didn’t really care!

We rented a house in Florida close to Disney, and it wasn’t that great. The whole trip also was marred by the September 11th attacks, so a mix of guilt that we were vacationing while America suffered its worst terrorist attack ever. So not the best of trips :(
