Yesterday; Emily and Lauren got a haircut – its been OVER A YEAR since they got their last hair cut!! Summer is hot; and they needed some relief. I think you will agree; they look utterly lovely!

This week are the girls last week of summer school – they have had a blast; and we have noticed some improvements in their speech and drawing skills!!! – here is a scan of one of their pieces of art; isn’t it cute? They are the best girls in the world :-)

It was very hot this weekend; some of our new flowers/shrubs etc are taking a pounding; the average for this time of year is 92 – well its either been close to or exceeded 100 these past two weeks. The insects are loving it though; had some fun killing a few this weekend…

Saturday we cleaned – on Sunday we went to a park in the cola area; but Nick didn’t want to go in cos it was sand based; so we went to Woodlands instead; an old favorite. I have pics et al -for this; and will be posting them soon.

Should note that for July 4th we are going to DISNEY WORLD for the weekend; I can’t remember if I posted about this is not; but it is an unofficial Nicholas birthday trip – we won’t be going to any parks; but the kids don’t care anyway; we’ll be swimming every day :-)

Finally; Finally – finished excavating and mostly capped off the sprinkler but need to get some Plumbers Putty to put a final seal on it. I’m very proud – now the rest of it; is the fun stuff; and of course the most expensive bit :-)

Its Summer; its hot; in the 100s some days – so wheres the best place to go; Disney World! We are taking a quick trip to Disney world over the July 4th holiday weekend. We will not be going to any parks though; we’re just gonna relax at the hotel; we got a great rate – and the kids like the hotel just as much as the theme parks anyway. We all win – cheap holiday; great atmosphere; lovely cool weather (not) – sit by the pool; and hopefully do as little as possible. We’re all looking forward to it.

Since – especially to me July 4th has absolutely no relevant meaning whatsoever – being English and all..; its just another day; it will be nice to be in Disney World which acts as a special place to Jenny and I. Even if the day marks the independence from the rotten British!!

I did a test run of installing Paver Stones; and I am THRILLED with the results. Emily assisted; while I was eaten alive by mosquitoes – 7 in all latched on to me. I need to initiate more effective countermeasures. One pic is the paver already in patten on the wall.

The kids got me a really nice Star Trek Fathers Day card – open it up and it plays the original tune; it was awesome! – We went to a new Mexican place for lunch; and Target to get some supplies.

The rest of the evening Ive continued work on the patio; and finalized a pattern; ive been going to and from different patterns. But finally decided on one that I feel I can comfortably do; some of my designs were just too complex. Getting closer to completion :-)
