Happy Halloween!

without comments

We all went to Nicks church school to enjoy ‘Harvest’ festivities – they had hotdogs, parties, door prizes, a giant balloon and more. Then Nick and I snuck into the night for some real halloween action and hit more than 10 homes to get a mighty booty of toys for Pirate Nick. Nicholas LOVED it – attached are some preview pics and then I will post the movie and pics soon.

Trees

without comments

tree.jpg A couple of weekends ago, Nicholas – Jenny and myself were out shopping and the twins were with their grandmother. Well, for whatever reason, I kept parking next to swooping trees that made it almost impossible to get out of the car without getting attacked by vicious branches along with their venomous leaves. I kept saying, ‘Why do I keep parking next to these freakin trees?’. Well now, every time we pass a tree, Nicholas screams out, ‘Look a freakin tree!!’

Tonight we are trick or treating at Nicks school – and will be sure to take a quadzillion pictures. We hope to be back in time to do a couple of houses – so the kids can show off their extremely attire. The do look amazing :)

Comments

without comments

I have reinstated Comments in this blog, I took them off a while ago – my main problem was automatic SPAM engines that would write comments on my blog, and it would take a while for me to constantly clean them up. So – I just updated to the latest version of WordPress, and we’ll see if things have been improved, security wise. Otherwise I will just take them off again.

Another year, another HALLOWEEN – not long now and the kids will be roaming the cold night air, in hopes of candy, pumpkins and other tasty treats.

Nicks FIRST Halloween Party!

without comments

Shiver my timbers, Cpt Jack Nicholas Sparrow was seen larking around a field with tons of kids this very chilly morning. Sources say he had much fun; pilleging for food and causing general concern with the local natives – pieces of eight! pieces of eight!

Car Film

Nicholas recently spent some time flexing his directorial muscles and made a feature length movie, complete with special fx, sound fx and a brief verbal performance at the end. He shows great skill.

Rain, Rain

without comments

With a deluge of rain, and a new river forming at the foot of our property dubbed ‘Russell River’ and ‘Russell Falls’ a few short feet away; the weekend does not look so promising. We will be moving most of our stuff back into our home from storage (we decided to take our house off the market, cos it was really inconvenient to have a realtor give us 20 minutes notice, and we were getting about 1 hit per 2 weeks) – we couldn’t keep up :( – but that doesn’t matter, we have some mighty plans, and we will wait for the housing market to pick up, whenever that maybe.

The kids are REALLY excited about Halloween, as you saw – Nicholas will be Capt Jack Sparrow – Emily and Lauren will be Snow White and Cinderella – their costumes are already here and we will be taking a great deal of photo and video footage :-)

Finally, fond wishes to Manager Martin Jol who was ousted from the soccer team I support – Tottenham. He was our best manager for 20 years, however, things this season were turning sour, and the powers that be decided it was time to move on. It was good while it lasted :)
