Day One: Settle Down & Epcot

without comments

We settled in by hitting Walmart and getting a mass load of supplies – Nick and I went through a quick dip in our swimming pool – and then we went to Epcot to get our tickets. We cruised around Epcot going to Nemo World – and seeing lots of fishy’s. Emily now says ‘ish’ but it sounds like a sneeze.

The weather by the way is spectacular – 85 – a strong breeze & low humidity

Made it to Florida

without comments

Todays journey was 8 hours, but I am going to officially put it in as 7.5 hours, as we hit traffic near Orlando by idiots googling at a 2 car ‘crash’ that wouldn’t have hurt a grasshopper. Anyway, we’re are here now in our rented home for 2 weeks. My Mum and sister made it safely – and we had some dinner at Chiles. The kids took a little time to settle down, but all is good now. I have to buy a card reader, cos I was stooopid and forgot the camera cable – so I can post pictures. But I will be posting them soon as soon as I get the card reader. We haven’t made any concrete plans for tomorrow but we know the morning time will involve a trip to the grocery store. Mum wants to get some breakfast material and make us some yummy breakkie. We may hit a park tomorrow, just depends on how we all feel, I think Mum and Liz are a little tired from their trip, it was a long flight!

Florida here we come!

without comments

At 1pm we’ll be leaving for Florida, I am not sure why our Internet access is going to be like – but I will surely do my infamous vacation updates if I can. We packed and ready to go, and ready to spend 2 weeks away from the hustle and bustle of life. Kids are ready, Jenny’s ready, I’m ready – everything is ready!

Squeezcshh

without comments

Emily, Lauren, and Nicholas cornered me and dragged me outside. Briefly wallopping me with a plastic bottle, I was out for 5 minutes. When I came to, I was surrounded by my children and squished like a sardine into their outdoor house. I was trapped, I waved to Jenny begging to escape, but I was left for dead for 30 minutes. When I got out, my muscles were fused..

Birthday and Metroid

without comments

It was my Birthday yesterday and I enjoyed a nice cake picked out by my kids and I got Metroid Prime Corruption for the Wii. Nicholas and I successfully completed Paper Mario a week ago, and now we have moved on to Metroid. He seems to becoming more masterful with his game playing technique and helps me solve the puzzles.

On an unrelated notes – something amazing happened tonight. Lauren – who hates taking a bath, I mean, despises it, screaming in agony. For the first time in a long time, actually enjoyed her bath!! We gave her a string of pearls (fake duh) – to play while in the batch tub, and she was so amazed by the pearl necklace, she forgot to scream in the bath tub, she actually played and patted the water, go Lola!!

Botanical Visit

without comments

We had a great time at the Botanical Gardens today, we also got to try out our new strollers – they are easier to get around – Nicks is lighter and the Twins is a long train module unit, instead of double wide – so we can actually get through doorways. Took some nice pics of the gardens.

A Successful Saturday

without comments

Yesterday we cleaned out the outdoor toys, specifically the house – ripped apart our outdoor mulch area (which was meant to be a play area, but they never played in it) – spread all the mulch around – and compiled a new look patio. Today we’re off to the botanical gardens, I am taking my super camera cos it is sooo beautiful out there.

Here is a pic of Nick playing in the outdoor house, he is very happy :-)
