Nicks Photo Wizardry
Some more pictures from Nicholas expert picture taking skills. I particularly like the one with Nicks feet.

Nicholas’s Story
It was a rainy Wednesday evening, Daddy and Nicholas were in Nicks room playing with his new tool set and toolbox (purchased from Lowes). We were playing with a character from his duplo set (who Nicholas called ‘Helpin’ and suddenly an adventure took place.
Helpin needed to cross the island of sodor (which he has, a cardboard cut out) – and I had to build the elements of his story while he narrated. First we built a Boat, which of course had to go under the bridge, so with the third iteration we were there. He then needed to get over the railway track, so I built a plane. After the plane we had a car built for a short journey. Both the plane and the car of course broke down so I built a bridge. The bridge burned down so I built a fire truck to push water on to the burning inferno. Helpin then needed to get over some more track so I built a pogo stick. Apparently at that point Helpin became lonely so we built him a pet – who was a dog. Didn’t like the dog, so we built a baby snake. Oh, I forgot. To get off the island of sodor, we built a bobsled. Also at this point the fire truck became the secondary pogo stick.
I ran out of blocks – so now we had to find homes for all the objects we built. In order Nicholas asked me where each items ‘Momma’ was located so they could be reunited. Where is Boats Momma? – Under the island of sodor – we then proceeded to place the items in various parts of the room with Helpin high above on the door – until Jenny walked in and Helpin fell to his death. Never to be remembered again.
The moral of this story is blocks make for good story time and fun… 3 hours. 3 hours of.. fun. Wonderful fun.
Merry Xmas!
Wow, what an amazing christmas we had. Nicholas was V E R Y excited, of course the twins didn’t know what was going on but still seemed very interested! On Christmas Eve, some Jennys family (her side) came over and we provided (along with MIL) dinner. Nicholas was passing out presents and was very patient. His unwrapping skills are flawless, as his little hands scrambles to eliminate the wrapping.
On XMAS day Nick was so excited he was actually shaking as he ripped open his presents. Not too frantic, but a measured response rate. The twins loved their gifts, and so did Nick! I would say Nicks favorite present so far is his Geotrax super set. He also got a very toddler proof digital camera and some of his pictures are below. I will post more pictures of the XMAS extravaganza very soon!

Pictures of the Twins Birthday Party!
Here the are -> click here <- I chose to use Lisa’s pictures for the web site – its nice to have my ugly mug in some of the pictures as I am usually the one taking the pictures. As you can see they had a wonderful birthday! Nick has also begun starting to relinquish control over their birthday gifts!
Happy Birthday Emily & Lauren!
The twins had a wonderful birthday with friends and family coming down to visit with them. They got some great presents too, although Nicholas has confiscated most of them at time of writing. We followed tradition as with Nichoas’s first birthday and went to Pauls Bakery to get you your Disney Minnie Mouse cake along with some donuts for dad. We then went to the party store to get a number of balloons which Nicholas really got into. I’ll post some pictures soon, there are plenty. Happy Birthday wonderful girls!!
