Spam :(
Unfortunately – spammers are spamming my comments board, and although it hasn’t been too time consuming, I already get 10-20 a day through my personal email account, and 50 a day to my hotmail account. Its becoming boring, deleting them all the time. Ive put moderation on the comments section, but if I keep getting them, I’ll have to turn the comments feature off. Thank you yee old spammers :(
The Count of Monte Cristo
In an effort to broaden my horizons I purchased the book, The Count of Monte Cristo a few days ago, and I am about half way through it. I am a fan of the 2002 Movie release, so thought I would check out the novel. Dumas Cristo is a quite excellent story and obviously carries more depth than the film, I am really enjoying it. Jenny tells me that many American schools use it as an essay book. Which is a shame, because I am sure they feel a certain negative feelings connected with it, since they have to sit down and write essays about it :) Maybe thats why the movie wasn’t a huge success, I liked it. I feel this way with ‘To Kill A Mocking Bird’ which I had to write an essay about. Well, my Mum wrote it, and it was an excellent essay ;-)
Wiki
I am toying with the idea of creating an online Wiki for our internal Lotus Notes users at work. We’re getting to a point where we are near 3000 users, and information exchange such as new users, FAQs, troubleshooting is becoming problematic. Having one central area for these users could be quite useful. If you have heard of or surfed Wikipedia, you’ll know what a Wiki is. The engine that Wikipedia is based on is MediWiki and is free. I installed it at work and started building a Wiki Site for Lotus Notes. I think it could be quite a hit.
VTech Thomas & Friends
Quite soon, Nicholas and I are going to do a review of Thomas & Friends video game for the VTech Video game system. It has many good points and some negatives that we will fully cover. Nicholas likes to play it often, well, he makes us play it for him, so its time for a review. Im hoping that he will tire from it, because we have other games, but he refuses to play them.
Early morning singing..
This morning at 5.00AM on the dot, Lauren and Emily started their morning tunes, singing away. An eerie melody of off-tune duets is a delightful wake up tonic. We will have to record it one of these days. Of course, they went back to sleep an hour later ;) Nicholas used to do that. Nicholas got up at 7.00AM to play his train sets. Trains are his life, well, Thomas the Tank Engine is his life, and he had the full kit on today. Thomas shirt, Thomas shorts, and his conductor hat on watching Wallace and Grommit. Cheese on the menu for the day I am sure.
Continued Success
Nicholas has taken to the potty very well, using it numerous times, so its not a ‘fluke’. I see $$$$ signs floating above my head, thinking of cutting a third of our diaper expenses makes me giddy. Then of course the twins come off of formula in December – now then we will be saving MEGA BUCKS. That is until the children want bigger and bigger presents for christmas/birthdays. Hmm, didn’t think about that :)
Glorious Pee

Nicholas Peed
In honor of one Nicholas Edward Russell – 3 years and 7 days old. On this day, at 8.20pm said Nicholas Russell got out of the bath tub, lifted the toilet seat, peed in toilet (with precise aim), closed lid and flushed toilet. Much praise and love is now bestowed on Nicholas. WELL DONE.
