Bizarre Dream

without comments

Do you know that game where you have a bunch of sticks stacked on top of each other, and you have to carefully remove one-by-one so the stack doesn’t collapse? Well I had a dream about a plate of stacked food, onions, meats and so on. There was a small robot placed next to the food, it was like a tripod with a camera on it, but the camera was a laser beam. You controlled the laser beam to fire and destroy a piece of food. The person who destroyed the piece of food and making the food collapse – lost. Obviously, I am gonna have to cut back on the mind-altering drugs I have been taking, i.e. benadryl ;-)

The Lawn

without comments

I hate cutting the lawn. I hate it more than going to the dentist. Why? Obviously it involves physical activity in the schorching sun, but – most importantly, my allergies explode and I am always sick a couple of days afterward, even with multiple benydrl, claritin, you name it, and does this sentence have enough commas in it? Cutting the grass is a 3 stage process (for me) . Stage 1 – Cut backyard – die from heat exhaustion, take a 30 minute shower to get rid of all pollen, sneeze 60 times, and die for the night. Stage 2 – next day, Cut front yard, take a 30 minute shower to get rid of all pollen, sneeze 40 times, and die for the night. Stage 3 – although physically the worst, weedeating, is not so bad on the allergies. I am at present, in between Stage 2 and Stage 3. So, Im gonna give up, we’ll pay someone to do it! Thank you for letting me rant. One good thing about winter, NO GRASS !

Rain

without comments

After one week of torrential down pour, every day, buckets of the stuff – today we get a break. My garden looks like something out of a jungle scene, who knows what creatures live there now. I’ll find out soon enough when I have to cut it. And I will have to cut it sooooon. But it will probably rain agian. Things are stable at home, twins are going through a good patch in regards to their teeth and Nicholas is as loveable as ever.

More Notes work..

without comments

My latest masterpiece is a database for our support staff to call our customers back after service rendered. They attempt to do so three times (and then we do not try again) and the database keeps track. The database imports customer information via a ‘dumped’ excel spreadsheet daily and then emails the appropriate manager when a customer reports a dispute or a minor follow-up call. This database will help improve customer relations, and automates processes that were used before. i.e. faxing the customer information. Its been a big hit!

Cat

without comments

Nicholas did something very cute last night. Jenny was sitting down and Nick came up and said ‘See a cat?’ – Jenny raised an eyebrow and curiously followed Nicholas to the front door. Sure enough a cat was sitting on the front porch. They went to greet the cat, and the cat was most pleased to be cuddled. Nicholas was fascinated, “Cat, come in and draw?”, Nicholas rushed to get his pens and papers, and wanted the cat to draw with him. He then brought out his Nemo books and wanted the cat to read them. Poor Nicholas, but the cat was happy until we kicked him out.

The World Cup

without comments

Have you been watching the World Cup? I have. England haven’t been playing so… oh, I guess since I live in America now I should explain ‘The World Cup is the no 1 sporting event of all time involving football, I mean S O C C E R’. – Anyway, England haven’t been playing so well but at least they are through. My Mum told me that there has been some rioting in England due to England not playing so well. Now, USA did terribly, which is a shame because viewership in USA will decline. I hope it doesn’t affect the ABC timetable for showing the games. I have no idea who is going to win, but if England do, it will be a shock and i’ll be very happy!

The Twins have Eaten !

without comments

The twins ate real food for the first time today. Well real food as in Rice cereal and formula all mixed into to form a delicious meal. I tasted it, and it was most delicious.. Anyway, the twins were interested to say the least, and look forward to many good feedings. It was messy, and they had baths afterwards and zonked out. Nicholas was worried that they were getting so messy, so he offered to clean them. Pics are as follows:
