Last Day

754 We had a better nights sleep last night. And it wasn’t as cold which was nice. I managed to get a shower, and the skeets aren’t as bad as yday as it is considerbly windier.

Sorry for my English, the environment I am in isn’t so great for typing masterpieces.

Tonight we are travelling two hours to Rocky Mt and then 6 hrs tomorrow to home.

I still can’t get over how amazing the stars looked last nigt.

803 I think it’s hilarious that I am the Mayor of the camp ground. Me, Mr. Camper

844 we are going to a more secluded beach today. Lola sure knows how to camp.

1000 off to the beach, not taking phone due to sand damage fear. Wish to catch a shark today.

517 we spent 4.5 lush hours at the beach, similar stuff to yesterday. We went to a more remote area and it was great. The girls and I went to the top of the sand dunes and took a pic of both sides of the outer banks. It was really awesome. The most important thing we did though was purchase the all important OBX sticker as shown below.

721 great day today, we said our farewells to the bells and are now on our way to Rocky Mount NC (2.5 hrs) and stop off at a Holiday inn to rest. We’ll get to experience some spectacular sunsets on the way :)

1100 we are settled in our room and contemplate our epic journey

7pm – we are at Uncle Paulies fishfood for dinner and it’s on the sound side of OBX.  I like the look of the sound, it seems very peaceful

830 we’re off to build a fire on the beach

Snow crabs are awesome

And we have fire

1011 well we had to abandon the fire (after eating a few smores and witnessing breathtaking star views) the crabs scared the utter crap out of the kids and I had to carry them up the sand dunes. It was pretty comical.

706 It’s morning and I thought it was noon, the birds woke us up and the blinding sun. We hear dogs walking around and dinosaurs.

801 Emily and I checked out the beach, and it was very pretty.

918 Suffering the affects of lack of sleep. Kids are doing well; grandma bought them a bunch of sand castle supplies.

940 the kids walked the beach wth the dogs while Jenny and I do some organization. Here is a pic of our setup

1100 we are getting ready to go to the beach, we will be driving on the sand, another first apart from SouthPort beach in England.

1130 getting some ice and fish bait and the local fishing hole

2.30 been at the beach for 3 hours now, caught sand fleas, went fishing, kite flying, built sand castles and about to dinner.

3.43 we had a great time at the beach, now the Russells have split up and gone down to Avon NC to have some ice cream and some extra camping supplies.

5.40 my first shower in a camp ground… So many firsts. We are chillin out this evening, I think we are roasting marshmallows on the beach this evening. The kids are big into insect repellant here, and I don’t blame them. They  are pretty rotten here

1pm – we’re at south of the border and the kids loveit

2.40pm at a nice rest stop in NC, in 39 miles we turn off and head east towards the oute banks

715pm Well we finally got here, very pretty, nice atmosphere, we got to set our tent up soon.

840 Building a tent at night is not fun

935 wow, camping is interesting, the kids are hyper – we are gonna try and knock em out. They have already been ghost crab hunting. Goodnight ya’ll

Unfortunately, we did not catch any fish, but now we are pros for our trip next weekend and are ready to catch baby sharks and dolphins. Much fish goodness awaits us at OBX !

What these funny figures mean; is that my older Palm stock capacity with lower rated capacity actually has more capacity than my higher rated battery; as the higher rated batter has been degraded to 77%.

We went of to Walmart and got some supplies for our camping trip next month including some fishing rods where we will catch a shark.
