Secret Adventure
The kids and I have been planning a secret adventure while Barb and Jenny go off having fun in Charleston, SC - I just know they are going to have a blast; but we are too! Oh yes we are; and Jenny has no idea where we're going - but I will offer this little snippet of clue - though it won't help at all! Ahaa; it looks mountainanous - and it isn't that far at all; and its near the Dollar Store and McDonalds - thats all that really counts.
My car is equipped with dual screen DVD player; (stolen from Jennys car) - 6 pack of Diet Pepsi (shh) - and its a little cramped; but we're gonna have fun while the ladies are enjoying the good life in Charleston. Sunday is gonna be awesome!

Jennys friend Barb is visiting
Last night we drove up to Charlotte Airport and picked up Jennys friend Barb; after that we went to Cracker Barrel for much needed nourishment. Drove down; and Emil lou wouldn't sleep - I think she was too excited about all the changes - we have some great activities planned for Barb; and really hope she has a wonderful and relaxing time. She really deserves it some vacation time!

A fun day
Writing this from my palm pre :) a great day today; did some painting; went to moes mexican; and home depot to dream about some big ole trees and buy more paint.
Jennys friend Barb is coming from Colorado this Friday and we are very excited; but we gotta clean the house ;)

Our first stop today was to visit Brusters; we had never been before; it was pretty good - the kids slowly got into their ice cream dinosaur things; and I wanted a Banana Split; but they had no bananas.. so I had a brownie sundae that was quite nice. I feel no need to go back again; i'll have to consult with Jenny on how she felt about the experience ;-) 
While we were munching; I played a joke on Emily and placed her much loved doggie into the trash; she was NOT PLEASED with me; and briskly nabbed it out; although Nicholas found it quite hilarious. With the dog rescued; and everyone filled up on valuable ice-cream; we made our way to Lowes; for some much needed plant and flower recuperation. 
Here we purchased a few things; the most important being a Venus Fly Trap; the kids were really interested in this; as they had never seen one before. We had to explain the entire process of fly munchin to them. We also got a really nice tree; it was a steal at $18 - and 7 feet tall; and should bloom this spring. Id tell you what it is; but Ive forgotten already A Cleveland Pear. We also got a smaller tree for a pot; and Ive forgotten what that is too. Rhodadendrum. 
After that we made a quick stop at Kroger for some much needed supplies. In the small little piccy you can just make out the planted Cleveland Pear; its in just the right spot. Hopefully this year we can afford to close the fences up; and we will have a wonderful backyard oasis - made possible; by our good friends at Lowes; and possibly Home Depot.

Today we drove out to Petsmart; where a company had linked us with a couple who wanted Shadow. Shadow has been causing me some health problems (Asthma) - and we had to find him a new home. Well we did; and they called this evening; and he already is laying down on the sofa; he's moved on :-/. So quick. 
From there we went on to Fuddruckers; the kids new favorite place; they like chicken and fries; and of course Jenny and I get Hamburgers. It is very tasty; and the kids also like it because a balloon man comes around and gives out balloons. 
Nicholas got a purple dog called.. 'Shadow'.. Emily got a Tiger; and Lauren came away with a Princess hat; she wanted an actual Princess; but balloon man wasn't up to that; so she got a princess hat; which she was equally happy with. 
She looked quite fetching in her special Princess hat; and many of the Fuddy locals had ooohs and ahhs as she pranced out side with her two fellow inmates; with their pooches and tigers. Sometimes I think that maybe the kids are only going to Fuddys because of the balloons; hmm; I think I am on to something Anyway; back to 'Today'. 
After lunch we hit Toys R Us for some bribing purchasing of cheapish toys. Nicholas and Lauren selected quickly; they got a Transformer (Optimus Prime) and Lola got a Playmobile Princess Set. Emily on the other hand was struggling. We were waiting for 30 minutes! FINALLY; she got a Doggy; which wasn't even stuffed, Doggy has been named 'Snowball'. We left Toys R Us at the screams of 'lets go home' - but we had one final surprise for the day! 
We went to Lake Murray! - we spent a short time here; because the weather was so lovely (this time last week we were playing in the snow) - it was averaging 65F ! -we took in the waves and played with our new toys from Toys R Us - we had a great time; in the wonderish weather. We saw lots of people there; and some lady even thought the dog Emily had was real; she kept staring; or maybe she was staring at me? 
All in all a great day; but how could it be topped you ask? Well - the new house next door to us; the new owners presumably moving in March 1st - have ordered a fence! That means both sides are now fences; thats cut our fence bill down $1500 - Good times indeed. And an extra bonus; the fence dude; are laying the fence - to the correct property line; so we've 'gained' quite a bit of space. A great day indeed! Made even better with the Palm Pre Plus - available from all good Verizon establishments.
