Zelda favorites

Watch the gate form, the cubes rotating and sparkling, gives me goosebumps, when the game has finished forming and the gears are rotating, you may stop watching ;-)

What this bit till she starts to speak, this is a touching moment, as you have just saved her son

A very important part where the Gods can’t contain the bad guys powers, so they sacrifice one of themselves to open a gateway to the twilight world, and finally vanquish him. Stop watching when the mask is laying on the ground, the death of a god

After 50 hours of playing a Zelda, thrusting a sword directly through the bad guys heart is deeply satisfying

Pokemon

This is a really neat trick, you should try it.

Take any image, image of Mickey Mouse, whatever, I had a pokemon character.

No try to copy the image, just by looking at it, and drawing it out. You can see my skills are not worthy. However, here is the neat part. Try turning the image upside down, and you copy it upside down. You’ll think its crazy, but just do it. Now when you look at it, the second version is significantly better than the first.

Isn’t that amazing? Its because of how your brain uses preconceived notions that you grew up with, and you are locking on to that part of the brain when drawing. But if you turn it upside down, your brain doesn’t know what to do, so it relies on the right side of the brain (the creative part), and voila.

Sure its still not good, but I’m not an artist, but I thought it was interesting.

Oh..

..wow its been 10 days since an update, thats not very good is it.

Yesterday the kids and I had the day off, while Jeanne was relaxing at the beach and Jenny had to work. Most of the day, we were vegetables, like any other day really, as I had left my keys in Jennys car. The kids and I got a lot of quality Zelda time in. They adore playing Zelda, they get so excited, they get engrossed in the story and just love it.

Sometimes they get scared of the monsters I battle, so they hide behind the sofa peaking out.

I then took them on a treat run, to Red Robin, they love Red Robin. It was busy though, VERY busy. But the kids had a great time, so thats all that counts.

Plateaus are not good

Well, I am quite frustrated, my weight refusing to budge. Not doing anything, I could be eating nothing for a week and it won’t budge. But I am being patient, I am well under the calorie intake I need to lose weight.

Patience, sleep, and calmness.

The kids and I went to target today to get some small toys, they were exceptional this week at school and deserved a reward. I also got some new jeans at target, this is a great achievement as target does not carry waist sizes I usually need, and now I can get 46. I have 44 and 42 jeans already and I am excited about eventually reaching that goal.

That’s a good measure of success. One of my favorite shirts feels a lot better on me now than I did, so I am starting to notice the difference.

I also only use the bathroom once a day, but that is probably TMI.

Things

Happy New Year.

2011 was.. eventful, there hasn’t been much to talk about lately, as posts dwindle on Russellsphere. Everyone is doing well, Miraculously the kids are not causing a fuss in the morning about school, which is pretty amazing.

I am concentrating very hard on my diet, I recently had a 5 day plateau, but that seems to have passed. My total goal is 120 lbs, which is a lot of weight to lose, but i’ll get there, one way or the other :)

Over the Christmas and New Years breaks, it is a very busy time for soccer enthusiasts, watched a lot of games!!

2012 will see much change, namely the destruction of Earth for one, but also some reshuffling, bit of this, bit of that, it’ll be a strange year.

Dieting

So in the last month I’ve lost 18 lbs, and a lot of people have been asking me how?

Well, I take a drug called Phentermine, but its really an ‘aid’ to changing your lifestyle, you can’t take it forever, and you have to be closely monitored every month. I’m on the lowest dose you can have. It is not the safest drug on earth, and some docs don’t prescribe it, in England its banned!

The problem with Phentermine, as a variant of the drug ‘speed’ it can affect
* Emotional Control
* Sleep
* Hyper activity
* Blood Pressure

So all these things have to be closely monitored, and I’m pleased to report I am doing just fine.

But you can’t just let the drug do all the work, I still get hungry, my eating/drinking routine has changed, and I have changed my sleep pattern. So in addition to the drug I have done the following. But you have to find pattern, I’ve always known really what pattern I would follow, and it works for me, but may not work for you.

* In the morning I have a full on coffee, sugar, cream, you name it, approx 300 calories.
* At lunch I have a protein bar for around 250 calories. To be honest, I have to force myself to eat it, because the drug is still working at this point.
* I have discontinued any other caffeine intake such as diet coke
* During the work day I drink water, spruced up with Propel Zero
* In the evening I’ll eat a normal dinner, 1300 calories usually.
* NO FOOD AFTER 8PM
* I take every Vitamin under the sun at night, and Flax Seed Oil
* You have to get a lot of sleep, as much as possible.
* Finally, and this is they key – you have to have a target and belief you can do it, something to hold on to, thats private and close to your heart. Once you find that, its impossible to fail.

Its pretty easy because of the drug, but once you get into a pattern, which is the whole point of Phentermine, I should be able to continue it without the need for the drug. For now, I continue on as I have been doing.

Soon I’ll have to introduce exercise into my routine, but want to get to the 25 lb point before doing so. I’m gradually including it in.

Phentermine is not the ideal answer, but it is working for me, and you have to be a certain weight category even to get it. But people wanted to know :)
